Serving at First Baptist Jourdanton.
We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, community, service and multiplication. This is our process for discipleship. Out of this gospel-centered service is the overflow of discipleship, serving those in and outside the church. One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities

We work with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide a once a month drive-thru food pantry on the third Friday of every month. Therefore, we work within their rules and guidelines concerning who qualifies for assistance and how we distribute the food.
Updates are posted on the Olive street entrance north wall of our fellowship hall. You may drive by at any time to view any updates or changes.
Who Qualifies? In order to receive commodities you will fill out a San Antonio Food Bank application form H 1555 and our staff will determine your future certification based on the information you provide. We will certify you based on categorical eligibility (SNAP, TSNF, Supplemental Security Income, National School, Lunch Program , Medicaid), income eligibility, and/or household crisis.
How to Receive Goods. On the day of distribution, the line of vehicles begins on our north side Olive Street parking lot, It circles around the front of our church and down Peach Street on the south side of our church. Our staff will check each vehicle to determine if the occupants are on our food pantry list. If not, you can fill out an application at that time. You may call our number 830-769-3552 and leave a message if you are needing food assistance on days other than our monthly distribution day. We will return your call and coordinate a meeting time if possible.
Limitations: At this time we allow two registered households per vehicle to receive commodities.
3 Ways to Pack a Box
1 Click the symbol for the Amazon Gift List Registry and join us by buying bulk from a list of known needs for kids. Please have it shipped to Jenifer Wilson in the shipping option (it will appear), and we will have a box-packing celebration in November!
2 Take a Box from the foyer, fill it with Gender and Age appropriate toys, and put it in the Operation Christmas Child Box in our Foyer on Sunday Mornings.
3 Click Here to designate a donation (Operation Christmas Child or OCC) to our Church and we will purchase items or donate the money for the shipping charge required by Samaritan's Purse for each box.

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
Colossians 1:16-17
Jesus is central to everything we do. We sing, pray, and preach in His powerful name. Our past, present, and future are centered on Jesus Christ. Our purpose on this earth is to make much of Jesus Christ.
