Our Weekly Gatherings
Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at our Sunday worship gathering. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.
Our current series is entitled "Journey to the Cross" We're on our way to a great Easter Celebration. But before the resurrection is the cross. Aaron lays out the path forward from God's word.

Family Discovery Nights
Wednesday afternoons we have a team of people who gather for prayer at 4:30 in our Conference Room. Youth have a hangout at the same time.
We enjoy a meal together at 6 pm in our Fellowship Hall. That is followed by an engaging Discovery Bible Study from 6:30-7:30. There are age-appropriate teachings for all ages during that time. There is nothing like discovering something new from God's word together and then applying it to our lives!
Sunday AM Bible Class
We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living.
We value Scripture—the Bible—as the basis for understanding who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him. You can expect that each Sunday morning will include a set-aside time for hearing from Scripture, as well as practical teaching surrounding God's Word.
First time at First Baptist Jourdanton?
We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing... Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a weirdly paralyzing thought! At First Baptist, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and diverse music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.
